Chocolate Bread is a variation of a simple sugar-based loaf, and it's a perfect treat for any chocoholic in the family. It can be made in a bread machine and served at brunch or just as a snack. Enjoy it on its own, or with a spoonful of Nutella or chocolate spread for even more chocolate indulgence. Here's how to make fresh chocolate bread in a few easy steps!
Instruction
Things You'll Need:
- 2½ tsp. dry yeast
- 3 cups bread flour
- ½ cup white sugar
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 egg
- ¼ cup fresh butter
- ½ teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup 2% milk, at room temperature
Step 1:Prepare the bread machine. Set the bread machine to the basic "white loaf" setting.
Step 2:Add ingredients. Add the yeast, flour, sugar, cocoa, egg, butter, vanilla and milk in that order.
Step 3:Mix the dough. Leave the bread machine to mix the dough with the timer.
Step 4:Remove the dough from the bread machine and shape and set into a loaf pan.
Step 5:Let the dough rise for at least 40-50 minutes until it doubles in size.
Step 6:Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Step 7:Bake bread for 20-25 minutes until firm.
Step 8:Leave to cool. Bread must be cooled at least 30 minutes before serving.
Step 9:Cut into slices and enjoy!
Relevent Tips: Don't substitute baking chocolate for cocoa, because you won't achieve the right texture. Labels: Chocolate Bread |
